MEDIPREDICT IS LOOKING FOR A
CLINICAL GENETICIST
LOCATION
Budapest (hybrid)
Medipredict, a data-driven precision health company, is looking for a clinical geneticist who is interested in working on personalized prevention and long-term health prediction by the integration of medical and OMICS examinations. This position requires the ability to work and make scientific decisions both independently and in a group. The applicant would be part of the genomic workgroup.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides pre-and post-whole genome sequencing (WGS) genetic counseling
- Reviews and interprets WGS results
- Writes and signs WGS reports summarizing analyses, results and conclusions
- Interacts collaboratively with medical doctors, scientists, bioinformaticians, data scientists and IT professionals
- Defines disease and gene panels for testing based on client phenotype as needed
- Maintains familiarity with professional guidelines
- Keeps abreast of scientific literature related to WGS testing and attends scientific meetings
- Contributes to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) writing and management
- Ensures that our product complies with applicable regulations
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
- MD with specialization in clinical genetics
- Great adaptation skills
- Excellent knowledge of English (Language of work is English and Hungarian)
- Analytical thinking
- Technological awareness
- Cooperative attitude
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Experience in WES, WGS and variant interpretation
- Familiar with GWAS studies and polygenic risk scores
- Experience with genetic counseling
- Familiar with ACGM and ClinGen guidelines-based germline variant interpretations
- Good understanding of NGS technologies
